Proof...

That I have no life.
I mean I obviously log into my own blog to play this stupid game.
But, I am getting good at it!

Come home soon Mick, my sanity is hanging by a very thin and ragged thread!!! LOL

Problem solved!

My wonderful brother rang first thing this morning to let me know that he had emailed me the 2nd and 3rd Twilight e books! Life is good. Very very good! My house is a mess, and I just ate a whole bag of Twisties without taking my eyes off the computer screen...but I am happier than I have been in weeks!

(you all realise that I have NO self control AT ALL and I totally started reading the final book last night. I am a bad bad person. I need my husband here to hide stuff from me *hanging my head in shame*)

Oh oh...and I just had two more LOs picked up for publishing! Good day!!!! You were right Lauren, I actually need to submit stuff in order to get them published..they aren't going to go looking for me!!

Now, back to Jacob and Bella (and if Edward doesn't make a re appearance SOON I will be MOST displeased!)

Not Me Monday!

I most certainly did not decide that it was too hot to sit at home the other day, then grab my purse and my boy and drive to Gayndah (40 mins away) so we could sit in the air conditioned car and then buy a frozen coke. Nope, we have important things to do here at home! no time for frivolous trips to the next town for cold drinks! We did not then arrive home from this frivolous trip to a nice cool house....cause we had left the air con on at home. Heh. No, that would be a waste of electricity!

I did not feel absolutely gutted when mick couldn't make it home for the kids carols concert last week. No, not me...I am a strong independent woman, and can totally handle taking three children to a carols concert. I don't need no stinking man! It hasn't taken me almost 5 days to get over the disappointment and stop feeling sad about it. Noooooo siree, I can handle most anything rationally and with good cheer!

I didn't curse the idiot (whoever they were) for lighting a fire in 38C (100F) weather with strong winds. Nope, patient and loving...thats me!

Nooooo!!!

You all are giving the wrong answer!!! LOL

It will take weeks for a new book to get here! No local book stores:-(

I know you are right though!!!!

A question...

Just say you had read the first book in the Twilight series... And then the 4th book falls into your hands.

You haven't read the 2nd or 3rd books yet...do you read the final book, or pretend its not there (VERY hard) and wait until you have read the other two????

Its killing me! I have had it for 5 minutes and I am BURSTING to read it, but think i should wait. What would you do?

Some Wicked Scrapping!

So, remember that gorgeous Warlock kit I will soon be giving away??? Well, this is what I have done with it so far....(I am still working on some christmas decorations using this kit)

I love this photo of Kim and the kids running along the river bank in Ballina. I wish I still had the copy of it so i could 'fix' it, but I don't...so I have used it as I have it, and I still love it! Look at the way Sammy is looking up at his Uncle Kim..and the way Kim is looking back to check on his little buddy! This LO has lots of handstitching and inking:-) Ooooh and a few close ups...this one features pics of my Mother In Laws gorgeous back yard. It truly feels like a holiday resort when we visit!

I couldn't bring myself to stitch on these lovely die cut flowers, so I used a pen and pretended ... faux stitching;-)

Look at that gorgeous water fall! The girls would live here in a heartbeat...Sam likes the garden, but not the water. He still likes to put his swimmers on though

And lucky last for today....

More handstitching. I am a handstitching fool...
All those sequins and beads, again handsewn. yeah, I don't know why I do it either! I think it looks pretty!?!?

I love this PP from urban lily. All part of that gorgeous Warlock kit!

Go on..you know you need to treat yourself for christmas!!! I know I did! (**sigh** I purchased all 3 main kits and the Little Princess and Little Prince...I couldn't choose!!!!)

Okay, confession time...

I had a huge attack of 'The Green Eyed Monster' on Friday.
A lady came into the bank, talking about how they had just travelled to the next town to see their neice perform in her first ever kindy concert. This trip would have taken about an hour each way, so it was a bit of an effort.
Not only that, but the neice wouldn't perform once they arrived, because Santa also arrived, and she was terrified of Santa.
I just got SO jealous.
We live too far away for my or Mick's family to be involved in the kids activities like this. Imagine how good for a kids self esteem it must be to have all of these interested parties in their life. I can't possibly give these kids the amount of adoration and love that these kids with family who are local get. And it seems, that most people here have families living locally. Generations of people adoring their children. How wonderful for them!!!
The kids i see in town with their aunts and uncles and grandparents around seem to flow naturally between the homes of their relatives. They are constantly surrounded by people who love them. I dunno, maybe I am just tired. Lately, not only have I not had the extended family, Mick is away, meaning that the only person available to my precious babies at the moment is me.
If you are reading this, and you have your family's close by, please, just appreciate them. I know, there is probably a down side. I often hear how grandparents and in laws are constantly 'interfering'....I really some days, would give all I had to have some well intentioned meddling thrown me and my kids way. Really I would.
