Lets Get Shabby #9

So I'm a giving this challenge another shot LOL after thinking I had done it yesterday, then actually reading the criteria, I was pretty careful this time around!

So this Shabby challenge involved the story Alice In Wonderland. Have you ever read it through? Its one freaky story! Like a drug trip, but much cheaper (I am imagining LOL) The challenge also needed a garden scene and the use of at least 5 different types of flowers! (clearly they haven't seen my garden where there are a grand total of one type of flower, and I am pretty sure its a weed ;))

So here 'tis!
The five flowers are there...I made some out of sewing patterns, have a Prima vine, some roses, some gorgeous Lily type thingy's from D'Lish and also the flowers from the Patterned Paper.

*phew*
And my quote is from the end of the book. "So she sat on and half believed herself in Wonderland"

And once more:)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Photo Swap

We had a bit of a photo swap over at WP. Kate was kind enough to entrust me with a pic of her gorgeous DD Heidi :)
I always get a little nervous scrapping someone else's pics, but I realised that its only a copy of a pic, and Kate can always print out another and scrap it in her own gorgeous style! I was going to enter it in the 'Lets Get Shabby' challenge this month, but didn't read the criteria properly, hence the random 'Alice in Wonderland' quote LOL
I really liked this butterfly...so a close up!

And once more...hope its okay Kate!!

Scrappy fun :)

Oh yes...I played.
Krissy sent me this gorgeous vintage kit from Wicked Princesses *sigh*
I love this kit.
My fave part is Krissy's vintage blossom. And in true 'Kirsty' style, I haven't used it yet. I do this. I buy something I love and then 'save' it. For forever. Until I forget why I saved it...but rest assured, I am working on another LO which WILL have the blossom....or not ;)

I made twisty roses out of sewing patterns :)
I love the soft tissuey feel of my old sewing patterns, so I figured they would be perfect for flower making!

Unfortunately the humidty meant my crackle paint didn't crackle quite the way it shoulda. Ah well...
And this quick, simple LO, that really is all about the journalling.

I wanted this story recorded before I forgot. I forget quickly....

And a pop dotted butterfly:)
Go check out Wicked Princesses to see the new Apple Jack and Nerdy Bird kits...WAY cool!

Daisy...

Remember our cute puppy Daisy?

She went from this.... to this....
In one afternoon. She just stopped being cute, and it only took one haircut. Eeew, look at her bald toes!
She is slooooowly regaining her hair, and her cuteness...

Sloooowly...

She is however, still very very naughty.

And funny.

(can you just see her fluffy tail in this pic? She can't handle having her photo taken, she needs to investigate the camera..)
Happy hump day y'all!

Two of my Favourite People

Share a birthday today! My mum (who apparently turns 36 today...how old does that make me then???) and my big girl Nat :)
Yes, I gave birth to my mother's first grandchild on her birthday
I have skills.

Nat made us into a family...
And I am ever so grateful for that. She has been so patient and loving with me whilst I try and figure out this crazy parenting gig.
And today she turns 9. Next birthday? Double digits...oh my!
So happy birthday to my young mum, and my old daughter ;) The twins....
LOL

(Just a quick snap from Nat's weekend sleepover)

And one of my gorgeous 9 year old!
Happy birthday ladies!

Paper Roses Tutorial

Had a question about how these paper roses were made on my STG LO in the last post... I found the tutorial by Nicole Aspinall here
Enjoy!

March 'Scrap the Girls'

Totally unrelated to Scrap the Girls...but I got this in the mail from Wicked Princesses to play with last week! I am hoping to get some time today to have a fiddle! March Scrap The Girls challenge has been put up today...another fab challenge from Kate! Your March LO needs to be inspired by this pic...
And include the word 'friend' in the title. Easy peasy no?

Oh...and of course be girly :)
The CT have come up with some amazing creations to inspire and delight (as usual!)
And here is my offering

I truly am blessed to be related to my best friends :)
Happy Monday my friends!
