Some Craftiness :)

I really wanted to give the kids swimming teachers a little something. So we decided to give them some of the scrummy yummy choclate coconut balls that the kids made...but they needed some cute packaging!

I had two of these tins lying around... So I made these.....
Both with a matching card :)

And filled them with these....

Yummy! I hope they enjoy them a fraction as much as the kids have enjoyed their swimming lessons this year!

Only 3 more Sleeps!

The Advent Calendar is nearly done.... So, last night Mick and I got all the presents out of the cupboard and various hidey holes, and discovered something not good.
The piles look decidedly un-even! money wise they are about the same, but quantity???? Not so even.
Normally we would be away from Mundubbera, and close to multiple stores by this time in the festive season. I would just pop to the shopping centre and make the piles more even...but we aren't near stores. And I can't just 'pop' to the shop....
This guy has HEAPS! Boy toys are so much fun and his numerous obsessions make him easy to buy for!

This girl seemed tricky to buy for, but her pile looks fairly healthy (admittedly I did wrap every single, toy, book and DVD seperately) Add her new bike to the pile and we are good to go!

But this little possum....her pile looks small. The pile does include an MP3 player and speakers, but those things are TINY. They don't look like much. I mean the other two are getting BIKES! (she got a brand new bike last year and it still 'fits' perfectly)
I am thinking I may need to beef out her pile with a few lip glosses and nail polishes....

I dunno. I agonise every year about the quantity of their gifts, when really, it usually takes about 2 minutes to decend into absolute mayhem on Christmas morning....and they have no clue as to how many gifts they received LOL

Have a great day my lovely friends! Thanks for stopping by and humoring my little gift panic attack!

What The Kids Have Been Up To So Far...

We made cute little baubles for the tree... And little button wreathes...
Folded paper stars...

I got them to make the christmas cards for the family....

They also made their own little snowman jars :) (excuse the icky state of the windows...these face the street, which is 3/4 dirt, so no matter how many times they get cleaned, they are back to this state within hours)

Today we are going to paint these guys

And make some Christmassy Chocolate balls (no rum LOL)

Recipe:
One pack of plain biscuits - crushed
2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup coconut
1 tin of condensed milk
Mix it all together, roll into balls and roll in coconut

(yeah, not really a recipe LOL I love this one for making with kids...no hot things, no waiting around. Just mix it up, get everything messy in one hit, and then they have to help with the clean up!)
What have you been up to during the holidays???

Ooooh CUTE!

Looky here...a cute vintagey download for you! Sooo sweet! My mind is spinning with the vintagey possibilities!

Sunday Scrapping :)

A rainy day = scrapping time!!!!

I scrapped our Santa pic... And these pics were on my desk, so I just kept going!

As was this one! One of my all time faves of the kids...all looking at the camera and SMILING!

I used my Slice for the title in this last one. I have been using that baby non stop....so handy for making cards with the kids! Helps to keep them distracted from my more 'precious' stash items LOL

*Ahem*

My all time scrapping heroine Christine Middlecamp stopped by my little ole blog and left a comment.
That is all
Yes. I am a dork who is easily pleased LOL

Please Excuse My Lack of Updates

But I am currently drowning in kids and glitter! LOL

We have been using our first week of holidays to hang out with friends and create christmas craft!
I now have glitter in nooks and crannies I never even knew existed LOL And today I got this in the post....
Which had this inside!

Does the buzz of seeing your very own kids, and very own creations in a mag ever grow old???
I hope not!
Have a great day peeps...I am off to help glitter something else!

My Christmassy Kids!

I really wanted a pic of the kids....I really wanted one of all three, but after a few dozen shots, i figured that wasn't going to happen LOL Where does this child learn how to pose like this????
And they all wanted one with the puppy :) Which seemed fitting seeing as she IS their christmas present!

Heee, she is SO cute!

And my girls :)

Naughty little munchkins they are!

And this was as close as I got to a 'decent' one of the three of them....

Have a great week all! The kids and I are planning on getting lots of Christmassey craft done this week!!!

Lets Get Shabby #6

I was STOKED to get an honorable mention on the Let's Get Shabby blog last month. I visited a HEAP of the entries, and was amazed at the talent out there in cyber space! Getting that HM was enough to prompt me to give this month's challenge a go :)
This month required a page/card/ decoration in a shabby theme...here is my shabby christmas bird village :) I tried using crackle medium, but it didn't really work....maybe too humid? Too hot? I dunno, that stuff is bloody temperamental!
So instead of worrying too much and trying in vain to fix it, I threw lots of glitter on top, so it looked all snowy and shabby;)
And look at the cute tinsel I found...a little mini roll of little tinsel..CUTE!

And once more..

Thanks for stopping by!

Playing with my Camera :)

Just wanted to have a little play with my camera and the christmas lights....dorky, I know!
I wanted a pic of Charlotte's little ornament that she made the other day at school.... And then Nat asked if she could get a pic...
And she held SOOOOO still for me..she is a doll!

And then they decided that Daisy needed to be popped into a Santa hat and photographed...unfortunately Daisy didn't agree LOL

And my husband. Mocking my attempts at 'mood' shots LOL

Telling the kids that they had to have 'awe and joy' on their faces. *heh*

#1 this week is our family shopping trip..... To Bundaberg!
So much fun to hang out together and to finish our chrissy shopping!!!
#2 is Christmassey secrets! Love it! There is so much whispering and quickly hidden parcels and just that general excited giddy 'secret-ish' feeling happening!

#3 Loving October Afternoon's Very merry collection.

So cute!

#4 Puppy smell. Oh man. She smells SOOOO good!

#5 these bowls I bought from Target. I stupidly only got three though!?!? odd number! I have no idea why?!?!?

Does Anyone Ever Get...

A really good Santa photo?

This is our attempt this year. We travelled 2 1/2 hours to get to Santa, so the kids are looking a little rumpled and travel worn :)
Not to mention the slightly skeevy Santa.... This is NOT a good pic, but may go down as my fave Santa pic EVER taken (excuse the photo of the photo)
Hah! Look at Charlotte!
And me. Yes. I had to be in the photo....and Charlotte wouldn't even LOOK at Santa!
But this is this years....
Not great, but I love the excited, happy smiles on those gorgeous faces!
And the Santa may LOOK slightly skeevy, but he was very lovely...even passed on a message to the tooth fairy from Charlotte regarding the tooth that fell out moments before the pic was taken;)
