Tomorrow...

The lovely Lauren and I are popping into Gayndah to participate in a scrapping class:)

"How can this happen??"I hear you ask "Don't you 'work' on a Friday??" (yes, I know that what I do is not generally considered actually working per se)

Why yes, yes I do. But way back in October/November when I had to apply for my holidays for Clare's wedding I wasn't sure how much time I would need. So I asked for two weeks off, and I got them :-D

So Sam is off to day care, the girls are off to school, and I have a whole day of scrapping to look forward to! Poor Mick...he has to keep working to support my scrappy habits...

The Kevin Rudd Memorial ghd

OMG..it arrived. I thought I heard choirs of angels as I approached the front door...

I used my K-Rudd money (for non Aussies, we have just been given some $$$ as an ecconomic stimulus thingy by our Prime Minister Keven Rudd) to buy a hair straightener. Not just any straightener though...I have joined the rest of my family and bought myself a ghd. I will forever more be fabulous. If you meet me irl from now on, you will know me by my fabulously straight hair...or curls, as it does BOTH!
*sigh* excuse me for a moment whilst I go tenderly stroke my ghd care for my children...

We are back!

From THE Wedding. Strdbroke Island was beautiful, and the day was perfect...despite threatened oil spills, washed up explosive containers and a looming cyclone! (seriously, I have never heard Straddie mentioned on the news - except in relation to drunken schoolies escapades- and it was mentioned every night on the news when we were over there!!)

The bride looked amazing! And my girls did a wonderful job as flowergirls - for the 4th time. LOL Many jokes about their 'professional flowergirl' status.

And we got the bride to the ceremony on time! She would have been the most easygoing bride ever! We went to check out the spot for the ceremony when we first arrived, and, well, it had gone. The beach where the wedding was to be help had been washed away in the choppy cyclone seas and massive tides. So she just shrugged and found a plan 'B'.

My dad was SO proud of his girl.

The dress was AMAZING!

My brother was an awesome MC (he tried telling us that MC= Mr Cool, I'm not buying it) And my other brother was wonderful with all the technical 'stuff' like the PA and the music:)

My sis was a beautiful bridesmaid

And mum looked amazing in her $200 shoes (but I SAVED 40% was the oft heard cry!!)

And the spot which was plan 'B' was perfect. Look at that view that we had to watch whilst at the ceremony

And I think we are all breathing a sigh of relief that it is finished! I have about a squillion photos still to come. I foolishly only took one memory card, and so have dumped all my pics onto my brothers lap top...he is going to create a disc of all the photos taken for us to have:)

Its nice to be home!

Goin' to the chapel...

And they're gonna get married!!!

Yes, after months of planning, and lots of emails, phone calls and hours spent shopping it is time for my little sis to get married!!! She is getting married to a lovely guy, Shane (or Steve as my confused husband has my poor innocent children calling him...)

I am pretty sure that we have the transport booked....
And as far as I know, she has the dress ready and raring to go....

Still a few last minute decisions to make regarding the bridesmaid frocks...
I personally am pushing for a veil...I mean seriously its a wedding...the more veils the merrier right?!?!?

Although, I must say this style would show off my cankles nicely..

Or red, the colour of love???

And I know for sure that she has ordered her cake, much in the same understated, shy, retiring style as this one... (I bags a boob, or do i want an ear...still debating)

All jokes aside, I know that it will be an amazing wedding which marks the beginning of a beautiful marriage!

Congrats Clare and Steve Shane. We wish you so much love and happiness, can't wait to see you all!
And as for the rest of you readers..I'll be sure and save you some of that lovely cake:-D See you in two weeks!

OMG...

I am feeling veeeeery technological, having just created my very first blog banner.

I know its not flash, but I am kind of excited, and am not going to mention that it took me almost 2 hours to make it *blush*

Weigh In Wednesday!

Alrighty...I am slinking back with my tail between my legs. It has been two weeks since my last weigh in, and I have not been terribly good. I totally got BORED with the shakes and lashed out. Not in a big way, but in a 'have-chicken-nuggets-but no-fries-when-we-went-to-Bundy-on-Saturday' kind of way (between this and Weight Watchrs I am sure that I will never be able to eat a french fry without massive guilt and a feeling of impending doom). I was really just over the no carbs thing.

And I think it was a good thing!

I restarted my diet full of enthusiasm again

I am saying it was the blow out, but it could have also been that I tried on my bridesmaid dress last night and it looks awful. It looks even worse now it is short...but I digress.

I have lost 0.3kg (0.7lbs) this week (or two *heh*)

So thats a total loss of 8.6kg (or 18.9lbs)

But I realised last night that there is no way I am going to be a size 8 in two weeks time LOL
