Someone had told us that walking with one foot up on the curb and the other down on the road would start things off...so we walked for kilometres.
It didn't work.
But man alive did it HURT!!!
Poor mum was dialysing over in Bundaberg (a 2 1/2 hour drive away) every 2nd day. Mum and dad had arrived on Sam's due date, so they made a lot of trips over there. The girls had both arrived the day before their due dates. So we kind of expected something similar. But not my boy! So we just waited.
And waited.
And waited.
I had to be induced eventually, and thank goodness I was, because this little guy arrived in a hurry! About 45 minutes of labour and he was there.
An amazing, busy, chatty 6 year old boy with sticky hands and a gorgeous smile.
We started the day with present unwrapping in mum and dads bed ( a tradition started with MY parents when I was little)
It was kind of hard opening my dads card and seeing just 'love Poppy'. I bet it was harder for my dad to write than it was for me to read though :(

And then the little guy was off with his blue freddo cup cakes for the class.
I am just glad I don't have to deal with 27 kids eating that bright blue icing! LOL
