Random Dozen!

Its that time again! You know you love seeing just how random things can get 'round here LOL

#1 Have you ever been so lost that you were really afraid?

I would have to say no. My husband has an AWESOME sense of direction. He can drive through the bush and know exactly where he is and can even remember how to get to the exact same spot if he needs to.
Me, I can't find where I am with a map and lots of street signs. This is why I don't go anywhere odd without either my husband, or comprehensive directions written by him ;) #2 Have you ever been to an island?
Well, apart from living on a pretty big one....
Yeah, my fave 'island' trip, was to Stradbroke Island for my sister's wedding. It is my dream to go back there again with my family for a family holiday :)

#3 Are you more of a thinker or feeler?

Up until recently I would have said a feeler, but since being diagnosed with depression, and being medicated etc, I have learned that I can't really rely on how I feel about something. I am now most definitely a thinker :)

#4 Do you tend to see issues in life as lack and white or shades of grey?

Oh most definitely so many shades of grey!!!

#5 If you were stuck on an island, what book would you hope to have with you?

I know. Its sad. I have read this book so many times, and I still love it. I know...I should have said Anna Karenina or something, but I tried reading that several times and just can't get past halfway LOL

#6 What are you most afraid of?
Apart from something happening to someone I care deeply for?

Rats.
I googled images of rats and ended up with goose bumps and cold chills.
I wanted to put up a freaky icky image, but couldn't bear to look at them *shudder* Even this one kind of squicks me out, and I am pretty sure its not even a rat....

#7 Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?
Oh wow. Deep.
I think I would like to keep the ones I have. All of my favourite things so far are in my memories, and if I haven't made them yet I can't be sad for not remembering them...I would hate to forget being proposed to, first wobbly steps, my wedding or the amazing arrival of my children...

#8 Pretend I'm looking at a scrapbook page about you. There are 3 spaces for you to drop in individual pictures. What are those pictures of and why did you select them?

The last one is missing a few sis and bro in laws, but these (along with the AWOL ones) are the people who matter to me most. More than anything in the world, these people - my husband, my children and my precious mum/dad/brothers/sisters/sis in laws/brother in law define *me* and who I am.

#9 If you were re-doing your wedding what would you do differently?
Maybe a different venue?
*snort*

A different dress perhaps?
*giggle*

Alright, seriously now...
I would change my hair do.
I would elope. I would take Mick and my hard earned savings and have a magnificent holiday...or at least a honeymoon (still waiting for that)
I *might* have a professional photographer....or not, I still hate having my photo taken...

#10 tell me one thing you know/believe about forgiveness?

That it is BLOODY hard work!!! But yeah, worth it in the end :)

#11 You're waiting in a doctor's office. What is your favourite way to pass the time?
I love reading the magazines. I don't care how old they are...I mean, I never get out, so chances are i haven't heard the gossip from 5 years ago!
Oh, and the trashier the better. I am a HUGE Dolly fan!

#12 If there were a clone of you in a parallel universe what is one way you hope she/he would be the same as you and one way you hope she/he would be better?
I would like the other me to have the same family I do ;)

I would like the other me to be thinner. I would like her NOT to have depression, and I would like her to have finished her teaching degree BEFORE the family came along LOL
Are you playing along this week?

I'm telling my daughter that eloping is a great idea and a lot less stress and I won't mind . . . as long as we know him beforehand and have given our blessing!

I'm thinkin NO on that different dress. It's different alright! These are great answers. It's so fun to see the different directions people take with the questions. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
